THE PROPHETIC FOUNDATION

HISTORICAL RECORD
God established His prophetic timeline through specific prophecies given to Israel. These prophecies—spanning judgment, exile, and eventual restoration—form the mathematical foundation that would culminate in 1948.

The Prophecies Given

Leviticus 26 — The Covenant Warnings (1446 BC)

God established the terms of Israel's covenant at Mount Sinai. Blessings for obedience, curses for disobedience—with a seven-fold multiplier for continued rebellion. This multiplier becomes critical to the prophetic calculation.

"And if ye will not yet for all this hearken unto me, then I will punish you seven times more for your sins."
— Leviticus 26:18 (repeated in v.21, 24, 28)

Jeremiah's 70 Years Prophecy (627-586 BC)

Before Babylon's conquest, Jeremiah prophesied the exact duration of Judah's captivity: 70 years. This prophecy was given approximately 20 years before the exile began.

"For thus saith the LORD, That after seventy years be accomplished at Babylon I will visit you, and perform my good word toward you, in causing you to return to this place."
— Jeremiah 29:10

Ezekiel's 430 Years (593-571 BC)

While already in Babylonian exile, Ezekiel received the prophecy of 430 years of judgment—390 years for Israel's iniquity, 40 years for Judah's. Each day Ezekiel lay on his side represented one year.

"For I have laid upon thee the years of their iniquity, according to the number of the days, three hundred and ninety days: so shalt thou bear the iniquity of the house of Israel... forty days: I have appointed thee each day for a year."
— Ezekiel 4:5-6

Isaiah Names Cyrus (740-700 BC)

Approximately 150 years before Cyrus was born, Isaiah named him as the one who would release Israel from captivity and authorize the rebuilding of Jerusalem.

"That saith of Cyrus, He is my shepherd, and shall perform all my pleasure: even saying to Jerusalem, Thou shalt be built; and to the temple, Thy foundation shall be laid."
— Isaiah 44:28

THE EXILE & DISPERSION

606 BC — 1948 AD
Israel's judgment unfolded exactly as prophesied. The Babylonian captivity served 70 of the 430 years. But without full repentance, the remaining 360 years were multiplied seven-fold—extending the exile to 2,483 solar years.

The Babylonian Captivity

First Deportation — 606 BC

Nebuchadnezzar besieges Jerusalem. Daniel and other nobles are taken to Babylon. The 70-year countdown begins. The prophetic clock starts.

"In the third year of the reign of Jehoiakim king of Judah came Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon unto Jerusalem, and besieged it."
— Daniel 1:1

Jerusalem & Temple Destroyed — 586 BC

After continued rebellion, Nebuchadnezzar destroys Jerusalem and Solomon's Temple completely. The major deportation occurs. Judah ceases to exist as an independent nation.

"And he burnt the house of the LORD, and the king's house, and all the houses of Jerusalem, and every great man's house burnt he with fire."
— 2 Kings 25:9

Babylon Falls to Persia — 539 BC

Belshazzar sees the handwriting on the wall. That very night, Babylon falls to the Medo-Persian Empire under Cyrus the Great. Daniel interprets: "Thy kingdom is divided, and given to the Medes and Persians."

"In that night was Belshazzar the king of the Chaldeans slain. And Darius the Median took the kingdom."
— Daniel 5:30-31

Cyrus Decree — 536 BC

Exactly 70 years after the first deportation (606 BC), Cyrus issues the decree allowing Jews to return to Jerusalem. Jeremiah's prophecy fulfilled to the year. But the nation does not fully repent...

"Now in the first year of Cyrus king of Persia, that the word of the LORD by the mouth of Jeremiah might be fulfilled, the LORD stirred up the spirit of Cyrus king of Persia."
— Ezra 1:1

The Extended Judgment

The Seven-Fold Multiplier Applied — 536 BC Forward

Israel returned from Babylon but remained under foreign rule—Persian, Greek, Roman. Without national repentance, the remaining 360 years (430 - 70 = 360) were multiplied by 7, as warned in Leviticus 26.

"And if ye will not be reformed by me by these things, but will walk contrary unto me; Then will I also walk contrary unto you, and will punish you yet seven times for your sins."
— Leviticus 26:23-24

Second Temple Destroyed — 70 AD

Roman legions under Titus destroy Jerusalem and the Second Temple. Jesus had prophesied this 40 years earlier: "There shall not be left here one stone upon another." The great dispersion begins—Jews scattered to all nations.

"And Jesus said unto them, See ye not all these things? verily I say unto you, There shall not be left here one stone upon another, that shall not be thrown down."
— Matthew 24:2

The Long Exile — 70 AD to 1948 AD

For nearly 1,900 years, the Jewish people remained scattered among the nations—yet maintained their identity, language, and faith. No other people group in history has survived such a dispersion. The land of Israel lay desolate, awaiting its people's return.

"And I will scatter you among the heathen, and will draw out a sword after you: and your land shall be desolate, and your cities waste."
— Leviticus 26:33

THE PROPHETIC CALCULATION

430 years (Ezekiel) − 70 years (served in Babylon) = 360 years remaining

360 years × 7 (Leviticus multiplier) = 2,520 prophetic years

2,520 × 360 days = 907,200 days ÷ 365.25 = 2,483 solar years

From Cyrus Decree (536 BC): 536 BC + 2,483 years = 1948 AD — Nation Restored

From Temple Completion (516 BC): 516 BC + 2,483 years = 1967 AD — Jerusalem Restored

THE ROAD TO RESTORATION

1917 — 1923
After nearly two millennia of dispersion, the prophetic clock began moving again. World events aligned to prepare the way for Israel's return—each step occurring at significant prophetic intervals.

Prophetic Milestones

The Balfour Declaration — November 2, 1917

British Foreign Secretary Arthur Balfour issued a letter declaring British support for "the establishment in Palestine of a national home for the Jewish people." This was the first official recognition by a major world power of Jewish rights to their ancestral homeland since the Roman dispersion.

Jubilee Connection: 1917 was exactly 50 years (one Jubilee cycle) from 1867, when the first Jewish settlement movement began in earnest. The Jubilee principle of restoration was at work.

"And ye shall hallow the fiftieth year, and proclaim liberty throughout all the land unto all the inhabitants thereof: it shall be a jubile unto you; and ye shall return every man unto his possession, and ye shall return every man unto his family."
— Leviticus 25:10

General Allenby Captures Jerusalem — December 11, 1917

British General Edmund Allenby entered Jerusalem on foot—out of respect for the holy city—ending 400 years of Ottoman Turkish rule. For the first time since the Crusades, Jerusalem was under a power sympathetic to Jewish return.

The Prophetic Pattern: Jerusalem liberated from Islamic rule exactly 50 years before 1967—when Israel would recapture the Old City and Temple Mount.

"For I will gather all nations against Jerusalem to battle; and the city shall be taken... Then shall the LORD go forth, and fight against those nations."
— Zechariah 14:2-3

League of Nations Mandate — September 29, 1923

The League of Nations officially ratified the British Mandate for Palestine, giving international legal recognition to Jewish settlement rights and the eventual establishment of a Jewish homeland.

Jubilee Connection: 1923 was exactly 50 years before 1973—the year of the Yom Kippur War, when Israel would be supernaturally preserved against overwhelming odds.

"I will bring them again also out of the land of Egypt, and gather them out of Assyria; and I will bring them into the land of Gilead and Lebanon; and place shall not be found for them."
— Zechariah 10:10

THE JUBILEE PATTERN

1867 + 50 years = 1917 (Balfour Declaration / Jerusalem captured)

1917 + 50 years = 1967 (Six-Day War / Temple Mount restored)

1923 + 50 years = 1973 (Yom Kippur War / Supernatural preservation)

1973 + 50 years = 2023 (October 7th Attack / Deadliest day since Holocaust)

ISRAEL & JERUSALEM RESTORED

1948 & 1967 — DUAL FULFILLMENT
After exactly 2,483 years of exile—calculated to the year from Ezekiel's prophecy—Israel was miraculously restored as a nation in 1948. Nineteen years later, the same calculation from a different starting point predicted the restoration of Jerusalem and the Temple Mount in 1967.

The Fulfillment

The State of Israel Declared — May 14, 1948

David Ben-Gurion proclaimed the establishment of the State of Israel at 4:00 PM in Tel Aviv. Within minutes, the United States recognized the new nation. Within hours, five Arab armies invaded. Against all odds, Israel survived.

"Who hath heard such a thing? who hath seen such things? Shall the earth be made to bring forth in one day? or shall a nation be born at once? for as soon as Zion travailed, she brought forth her children."
— Isaiah 66:8

The Fig Tree Sign

Jesus used the fig tree as a symbol for Israel. When the fig tree puts forth leaves, summer is near. Israel's rebirth in 1948 was the budding of the fig tree—the generation that sees this will not pass away before all end-times prophecies are fulfilled.

"Now learn a parable of the fig tree; When his branch is yet tender, and putteth forth leaves, ye know that summer is nigh: So likewise ye, when ye shall see all these things, know that it is near, even at the doors. Verily I say unto you, This generation shall not pass, till all these things be fulfilled."
— Matthew 24:32-34

Jerusalem Recaptured — June 7, 1967

During the Six-Day War, Israeli paratroopers captured the Old City of Jerusalem including the Temple Mount. For the first time in over 2,000 years, the Temple Mount was under Jewish sovereignty.

The Prophetic Calculation: Using the same 2,483-year calculation, but starting from the Temple completion (516 BC) instead of the Cyrus decree (536 BC), we arrive at 1967—the year Jerusalem was restored, exactly 19 years after the nation was restored.

"And they shall fall by the edge of the sword, and shall be led away captive into all nations: and Jerusalem shall be trodden down of the Gentiles, until the times of the Gentiles be fulfilled."
— Luke 21:24

THE DUAL PROPHETIC FULFILLMENT

536 BC (Cyrus Decree — return to land) + 2,483 years = 1948 — Nation Restored

516 BC (Temple Completed) + 2,483 years = 1967 — Jerusalem & Temple Mount Restored

Prophetic Significance

The Prophetic Clock Restarted

Israel's restoration was the key that unlocked end-times prophecy. Daniel's 70th week, the Tribulation, the Antichrist's covenant with Israel—none of these could occur without Israel existing as a nation. Since 1948, the stage has been set for the final act of human history.

"And I will bring again the captivity of my people of Israel, and they shall build the waste cities, and inhabit them... And I will plant them upon their land, and they shall no more be pulled up out of their land which I have given them, saith the LORD thy God."
— Amos 9:14-15

Supernatural Preservation

The Yom Kippur War — October 6, 1973

On the holiest day of the Jewish calendar—Yom Kippur, the Day of Atonement—Egypt and Syria launched a coordinated surprise attack. Israel was caught completely off guard with most of its military on leave. Initial Arab advances were devastating.

The Jubilee Connection: 1973 was exactly 50 years (one Jubilee cycle) from 1923, when the League of Nations ratified the British Mandate. The attack on the Day of Atonement—the day when Israel's sins are forgiven and the nation is preserved—carried profound prophetic significance.

The Miraculous Turn: Against overwhelming odds and initial losses, Israel not only survived but counterattacked, crossing the Suez Canal and surrounding Egyptian armies. Many participants reported unexplainable events—fog appearing to blind enemies at crucial moments, equipment failures on the Arab side, and Israeli forces achieving impossible victories.

"And in that day will I make Jerusalem a burdensome stone for all people: all that burden themselves with it shall be cut in pieces, though all the people of the earth be gathered together against it."
— Zechariah 12:3

The October 7th Attack — October 7, 2023

Exactly 50 years (one Jubilee cycle) after the Yom Kippur War, Hamas launched a massive surprise attack from Gaza on the Jewish holiday of Simchat Torah. It became the deadliest day for Jews since the Holocaust—over 1,200 killed, hundreds taken hostage.

The Pattern Repeats: Like 1973, it was a surprise attack on a Jewish holy day. Like 1973, Israel was caught off guard. Like 1973, the initial hours were catastrophic. The 50-year Jubilee cycle of testing continues.

The Prophetic Significance: Simchat Torah celebrates the completion of the annual Torah reading cycle and the beginning again—an ending and a new beginning. Many see this attack as marking a prophetic transition point, the beginning of a new phase in Israel's prophetic destiny.

"For, lo, I will command, and I will sift the house of Israel among all nations, like as corn is sifted in a sieve, yet shall not the least grain fall upon the earth."
— Amos 9:9
"No weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper; and every tongue that shall rise against thee in judgment thou shalt condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the LORD."
— Isaiah 54:17

THE BIRTH PANGS

CURRENT ERA
The present age of preparation. The infrastructure for prophetic fulfillment is being constructed. These are the "beginning of sorrows" - signs that precede but do not constitute the Tribulation itself.

Signs of the Times

Wars, Rumors of Wars, Nation Against Nation

Global conflicts, proxy wars, and international tensions increasing in frequency and intensity. Not the end itself, but indicators of approaching judgment.

"And ye shall hear of wars and rumours of wars: see that ye be not troubled: for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet. For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom."
— Matthew 24:6-7a

Famines, Pestilences, Earthquakes

Natural disasters, disease outbreaks, and food insecurity as birth pangs—contractions increasing before delivery.

"And there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers places. All these are the beginning of sorrows."
— Matthew 24:7b-8

Deception and False Prophets

Religious deception, false teachers, and counterfeit spirituality proliferating across all institutions.

"And many false prophets shall rise, and shall deceive many. And because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold."
— Matthew 24:11-12

Gospel Preached to All Nations

The message reaching every people group—a prerequisite before the end comes.

"And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come."
— Matthew 24:14

Infrastructure Development

Beast System Architecture

The technological, financial, and governmental systems required for Revelation 13 being constructed now: CBDCs, biometric ID, AI surveillance, global governance frameworks. The mark system requires infrastructure before implementation.

"And he causeth all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and bond, to receive a mark in their right hand, or in their foreheads: And that no man might buy or sell, save he that had the mark."
— Revelation 13:16-17

Israel Regathered

The miraculous restoration of Israel as a nation (1948) after nearly 2,000 years of dispersion—the "fig tree" sign.

"Now learn a parable of the fig tree; When his branch is yet tender, and putteth forth leaves, ye know that summer is nigh: So likewise ye, when ye shall see all these things, know that it is near, even at the doors."
— Matthew 24:32-33
"And I will bring again the captivity of my people of Israel, and they shall build the waste cities, and inhabit them... And I will plant them upon their land, and they shall no more be pulled up out of their land which I have given them."
— Amos 9:14-15

THE RAPTURE QUESTION

The timing of the catching away of believers (1 Thessalonians 4:16-17) is debated. Pre-tribulation, mid-tribulation, and post-tribulation views exist. What is certain: believers are promised deliverance from the wrath to come (1 Thessalonians 1:10, 5:9). The church is not appointed to wrath.

THE TRIBULATION BEGINS

7 YEARS - DANIEL'S 70TH WEEK
The 70th week of Daniel commences when the Antichrist confirms a covenant with Israel. This begins the final seven-year period before Christ's return.

The Trigger Event

Covenant Confirmed

The Antichrist ("the prince that shall come") confirms a covenant with Israel for one "week" (seven years). This likely involves peace guarantees and possibly temple arrangements.

"And he shall confirm the covenant with many for one week: and in the midst of the week he shall cause the sacrifice and the oblation to cease."
— Daniel 9:27a

Rise of the Beast

A world leader emerges with supernatural power, commanding global allegiance through the revived world empire system.

"And I stood upon the sand of the sea, and saw a beast rise up out of the sea, having seven heads and ten horns, and upon his horns ten crowns, and upon his heads the name of blasphemy."
— Revelation 13:1
"And they worshipped the dragon which gave power unto the beast: and they worshipped the beast, saying, Who is like unto the beast? who is able to make war with him?"
— Revelation 13:4

The Seven Seals

Only the Lamb is worthy to open the sealed scroll—the title deed to earth (Revelation 5). Each seal releases judgment.

FIRST SEAL - White Horse

Conquest. A rider with a bow, given a crown, goes forth conquering. False peace, global deception, or the Antichrist's rise to power.

Revelation 6:1-2
SECOND SEAL - Red Horse

War. Peace taken from earth. Global conflict unleashed as men kill one another.

Revelation 6:3-4
THIRD SEAL - Black Horse

Famine. Economic collapse. A day's wages for a day's food. Scarcity controlled while luxury remains for elites.

Revelation 6:5-6
FOURTH SEAL - Pale Horse

Death. Authority over a fourth of earth to kill by sword, hunger, death, and beasts. Mass casualties.

Revelation 6:7-8
FIFTH SEAL - Martyrs

Souls under the altar cry out. Those slain for their testimony. Persecution of believers intensifies.

Revelation 6:9-11
SIXTH SEAL - Cosmic Signs

Great earthquake. Sun blackened. Moon as blood. Stars fall. Sky recedes. Mountains and islands moved. All men hide.

Revelation 6:12-17

Interlude: The 144,000 Sealed

Before the seventh seal, 144,000 from the twelve tribes of Israel are sealed for protection. A great multitude from all nations appears in heaven—tribulation martyrs.

"Saying, Hurt not the earth, neither the sea, nor the trees, till we have sealed the servants of our God in their foreheads. And I heard the number of them which were sealed: and there were sealed an hundred and forty and four thousand of all the tribes of the children of Israel."
— Revelation 7:3-4
SEVENTH SEAL - Silence

Silence in heaven for half an hour. The scroll fully opened. The seven trumpet judgments are prepared. The prayers of the saints rise before God.

Revelation 8:1-5

MIDPOINT - 3.5 YEARS

THE ABOMINATION OF DESOLATION

At the halfway point, the Antichrist breaks the covenant, enters the rebuilt temple, declares himself God, and demands worship. This triggers the "Great Tribulation"—the most severe period in human history.

Abomination of Desolation

The Antichrist enters the holy place and proclaims himself to be God. Temple sacrifices cease. The image of the beast is set up.

"When ye therefore shall see the abomination of desolation, spoken of by Daniel the prophet, stand in the holy place, (whoso readeth, let him understand:) Then let them which be in Judaea flee into the mountains."
— Matthew 24:15-16
"And in the midst of the week he shall cause the sacrifice and the oblation to cease, and for the overspreading of abominations he shall make it desolate."
— Daniel 9:27b
"Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself that he is God."
— 2 Thessalonians 2:4

The Mark Enforced

The False Prophet implements the mark system globally. Without it, none can participate in the economy. Those who take it seal their eternal fate.

"And he had power to give life unto the image of the beast, that the image of the beast should both speak, and cause that as many as would not worship the image of the beast should be killed."
— Revelation 13:15
"And the smoke of their torment ascendeth up for ever and ever: and they have no rest day nor night, who worship the beast and his image, and whosoever receiveth the mark of his name."
— Revelation 14:11

Great Tribulation Begins

The final 3.5 years (1,260 days / 42 months / "time, times, and half a time"). Unprecedented suffering and judgment.

"For then shall be great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be. And except those days should be shortened, there should no flesh be saved: but for the elect's sake those days shall be shortened."
— Matthew 24:21-22

Two Witnesses

Two prophets given power to prophesy for 1,260 days. They have power over weather, water, and plagues. After their testimony, the beast kills them. They rise after 3.5 days.

"And I will give power unto my two witnesses, and they shall prophesy a thousand two hundred and threescore days, clothed in sackcloth... And when they shall have finished their testimony, the beast that ascendeth out of the bottomless pit shall make war against them, and shall overcome them, and kill them."
— Revelation 11:3, 7

THE SEVEN TRUMPETS

INTENSIFIED JUDGMENT
Following the seventh seal, seven angels are given trumpets. Each trumpet brings increasingly severe judgment upon the earth. The final three are called "woes."
FIRST TRUMPET

Hail and fire mingled with blood. One-third of trees and all green grass burned.

Revelation 8:7
SECOND TRUMPET

Great burning mountain cast into sea. One-third of sea becomes blood. One-third of sea creatures die. One-third of ships destroyed.

Revelation 8:8-9
THIRD TRUMPET

Star called Wormwood falls. One-third of rivers and springs poisoned. Many men die from bitter waters.

Revelation 8:10-11
FOURTH TRUMPET

One-third of sun, moon, and stars darkened. Day and night lose one-third of light.

Revelation 8:12
FIFTH TRUMPET (1st Woe)

Bottomless pit opened. Locusts with scorpion power torment men for five months. Men seek death but cannot die.

Revelation 9:1-11
SIXTH TRUMPET (2nd Woe)

Four angels released. Army of 200 million. One-third of mankind killed by fire, smoke, and brimstone.

Revelation 9:13-21

Interlude: The Little Book

A mighty angel with a little book. Seven thunders speak (sealed). John eats the book—sweet then bitter. He must prophesy again.

"And I took the little book out of the angel's hand, and ate it up; and it was in my mouth sweet as honey: and as soon as I had eaten it, my belly was bitter."
— Revelation 10:10
SEVENTH TRUMPET (3rd Woe)

Loud voices in heaven: "The kingdoms of this world are become the kingdoms of our Lord, and of his Christ." The temple opened. Lightning, voices, thunder, earthquake, great hail. The seven bowl judgments prepared.

Revelation 11:15-19

THE SEVEN BOWLS OF WRATH

FINAL JUDGMENTS
The final and most severe judgments. The full fury of God's wrath poured out upon those who have taken the mark and worship the beast. These are rapid, devastating, and complete.
"And I heard a great voice out of the temple saying to the seven angels, Go your ways, and pour out the vials of the wrath of God upon the earth."
— Revelation 16:1
FIRST BOWL

Grievous sores upon those with the mark who worship the beast's image.

Revelation 16:2
SECOND BOWL

Sea becomes as blood of a dead man. Every living thing in the sea dies.

Revelation 16:3
THIRD BOWL

Rivers and fountains become blood. "They have shed the blood of saints and prophets, and thou hast given them blood to drink."

Revelation 16:4-7
FOURTH BOWL

Sun scorches men with fire. They blaspheme God and repent not.

Revelation 16:8-9
FIFTH BOWL

Darkness upon the beast's kingdom. They gnaw their tongues for pain. Blaspheme God. Repent not.

Revelation 16:10-11
SIXTH BOWL

Euphrates dried up. Way prepared for kings of the east. Unclean spirits gather nations to Armageddon.

Revelation 16:12-16
SEVENTH BOWL - "IT IS DONE"

Poured into the air. "It is done." Greatest earthquake ever. Cities fall. Islands flee. Mountains not found. Hundred-pound hailstones. Babylon remembered. Men blaspheme God.

Revelation 16:17-21

Fall of Babylon

The great religious and commercial system judged. The harlot that rides the beast is destroyed. Kings and merchants mourn her fall. Heaven rejoices.

"And he cried mightily with a strong voice, saying, Babylon the great is fallen, is fallen, and is become the habitation of devils... For all nations have drunk of the wine of the wrath of her fornication, and the kings of the earth have committed fornication with her, and the merchants of the earth are waxed rich through the abundance of her delicacies."
— Revelation 18:2-3

THE SECOND COMING

Christ returns visibly, bodily, in power and glory. Every eye sees Him. He defeats the armies gathered at Armageddon, destroys the beast and false prophet, and binds Satan.

Christ Returns in Glory

Heaven opens. The King of Kings descends on a white horse. The armies of heaven follow. His eyes as flame. His robe dipped in blood. The Word of God.

"And I saw heaven opened, and behold a white horse; and he that sat upon him was called Faithful and True, and in righteousness he doth judge and make war. His eyes were as a flame of fire, and on his head were many crowns... And he was clothed with a vesture dipped in blood: and his name is called The Word of God."
— Revelation 19:11-13
"Behold, he cometh with clouds; and every eye shall see him, and they also which pierced him: and all kindreds of the earth shall wail because of him."
— Revelation 1:7

Battle of Armageddon

The beast and kings of the earth gathered to make war against Christ. The beast and false prophet cast alive into the lake of fire. The remnant slain by the sword from His mouth.

"And the beast was taken, and with him the false prophet that wrought miracles before him... These both were cast alive into a lake of fire burning with brimstone. And the remnant were slain with the sword of him that sat upon the horse."
— Revelation 19:20-21

Satan Bound

An angel binds Satan for 1,000 years in the bottomless pit. He cannot deceive the nations during this time.

"And I saw an angel come down from heaven, having the key of the bottomless pit and a great chain in his hand. And he laid hold on the dragon, that old serpent, which is the Devil, and Satan, and bound him a thousand years."
— Revelation 20:1-2

THE MILLENNIAL KINGDOM

1,000 YEARS
Christ reigns on earth from Jerusalem. Saints reign with Him. Peace covers the earth. Israel restored. The nations blessed. Satan bound. Creation partially restored.

Christ Reigns on Earth

The Lord establishes His kingdom on earth. Saints resurrected to reign with Him. Jerusalem becomes the center of world government and worship.

"And I saw thrones, and they sat upon them, and judgment was given unto them: and I saw the souls of them that were beheaded for the witness of Jesus, and for the word of God, and which had not worshipped the beast, neither his image, neither had received his mark upon their foreheads, or in their hands; and they lived and reigned with Christ a thousand years."
— Revelation 20:4
"And the LORD shall be king over all the earth: in that day shall there be one LORD, and his name one."
— Zechariah 14:9

Peace and Restoration

Universal peace. Nature transformed. Lifespans extended. Knowledge of the Lord fills the earth.

"The wolf also shall dwell with the lamb, and the leopard shall lie down with the kid; and the calf and the young lion and the fatling together; and a little child shall lead them... They shall not hurt nor destroy in all my holy mountain: for the earth shall be full of the knowledge of the LORD, as the waters cover the sea."
— Isaiah 11:6, 9

Satan's Final Rebellion

After 1,000 years, Satan released briefly. He deceives the nations (Gog and Magog) for one final rebellion. Fire from heaven devours them. Satan cast into lake of fire forever.

"And when the thousand years are expired, Satan shall be loosed out of his prison, And shall go out to deceive the nations... to gather them together to battle... And fire came down from God out of heaven, and devoured them. And the devil that deceived them was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone."
— Revelation 20:7-10

THE GREAT WHITE THRONE

The final judgment of all who rejected God. The dead stand before the throne. Books opened. Each judged according to their works. Anyone not in the Book of Life cast into the lake of fire. Death and Hades destroyed.

Final Judgment

"And I saw a great white throne, and him that sat on it, from whose face the earth and the heaven fled away; and there was found no place for them. And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is the book of life: and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works."
— Revelation 20:11-12
"And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire."
— Revelation 20:15

NEW HEAVEN AND NEW EARTH

The old order passes away. God creates a new heaven and new earth. The New Jerusalem descends. God dwells with His people forever. No more death, pain, or sorrow. All things made new.

All Things Made New

"And I saw a new heaven and a new earth: for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away; and there was no more sea. And I John saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband."
— Revelation 21:1-2
"And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away. And he that sat upon the throne said, Behold, I make all things new."
— Revelation 21:4-5
"And there shall be no more curse: but the throne of God and of the Lamb shall be in it; and his servants shall serve him: And they shall see his face; and his name shall be in their foreheads... and they shall reign for ever and ever."
— Revelation 22:3-5
