THE TRUE REASON FOR THE FLOOD

Genetic Corruption, Nephilim, and the Pattern Repeating
Most people think the flood was simply about human wickedness — murder, theft, violence. But Genesis 6 reveals something far more specific and disturbing: the corruption of human genetics through supernatural interference. Jesus warned that these same conditions would return before His coming. "As it was in the days of Noah, so shall it be also in the days of the Son of man."

⛧ The Genesis 6 Account

"And it came to pass, when men began to multiply on the face of the earth, and daughters were born unto them, That the sons of God saw the daughters of men that they were fair; and they took them wives of all which they chose... There were giants [Nephilim] in the earth in those days; and also after that, when the sons of God came in unto the daughters of men, and they bare children to them, the same became mighty men which were of old, men of renown."

"Noah was a just man and perfect in his generations, and Noah walked with God."

Hebrew Analysis: "Perfect" = tamim — meaning "without blemish, complete, whole." The same word used for sacrificial animals that must be genetically pure. Noah's generations (Hebrew: toledot — genealogy, genetic lineage) were uncorrupted.
"The earth also was corrupt before God, and the earth was filled with violence. And God looked upon the earth, and, behold, it was corrupt; for all flesh had corrupted his way upon the earth."

Hebrew Analysis: "Corrupt" = shachath — meaning to destroy, ruin, or spoil genetically. "All flesh" — not just humans, but animal life too — had been corrupted.

⛧ Who Were the "Sons of God"?

Three interpretations exist. Only one fits all the Biblical evidence.

THE ANGELIC VIEW

"Sons of God" were fallen angels (Watchers) who took human form and mated with human women.

Evidence:

• "Sons of God" (bene elohim) in OT always refers to angels (Job 1:6, 2:1, 38:7)

• Offspring were Nephilim — supernatural hybrids

• Universal interpretation of early church and ancient Judaism

• Jude 6-7 references angels who "left their first estate"

• 2 Peter 2:4-5 connects sinning angels to Noah's flood

✓ FITS ALL EVIDENCE

THE SETHITE VIEW

"Sons of God" were godly descendants of Seth who married ungodly descendants of Cain.

Problems:

• Why would this produce giants?

• "Sons of God" never means "godly men" elsewhere in OT

• Interpretation only arose in 4th-5th century AD

• Doesn't explain severity requiring total destruction

THE ROYALTY VIEW

"Sons of God" were powerful kings or rulers who took multiple wives.

Problems:

• Same issues as Sethite view

• Doesn't explain Nephilim

• Doesn't explain genetic corruption

• Polygamy doesn't produce giants

Jude 6-7: "And the angels which kept not their first estate, but left their own habitation, he hath reserved in everlasting chains under darkness unto the judgment of the great day. 2 Peter 2:4-5: "For if God spared not the angels that sinned, but cast them down to hell... And spared not the old world, but saved Noah..."

⛧ The Nephilim

THE FALLEN ONES

The Hebrew word Nephilim comes from naphal — "to fall." They were the hybrid offspring of the union between fallen angels and human women. Not fully human, not fully angelic — an abomination that corrupted the human gene pool.

Supernatural strength and abilities beyond human capacity

MEN OF RENOWN

Famous, legendary figures — likely the origin of mythological "gods"

HYBRID OFFSPRING

Neither fully human nor angelic — genetic abominations

⚠ They Returned After the Flood

Genesis 6:4 says "and also after that" — indicating Nephilim appeared again post-flood:

Numbers 13:33 — The spies saw Nephilim in Canaan ("we were as grasshoppers in their sight")

Deuteronomy 2-3 — The Rephaim, Anakim, Emim, Zamzummim (giant tribes)

1 Samuel 17 — Goliath and his brothers (giants of Gath)

2 Samuel 21:15-22 — David's men killed remaining giants

This explains why God commanded the total destruction of certain Canaanite populations — they were genetically corrupted bloodlines.

⛧ The Book of Enoch's Account

While not canonical, 1 Enoch was quoted by Jude (verses 14-15) and was known to the apostles. It provides extensive detail on the Genesis 6 events:

The Watchers' Descent

  • 200 Watchers descended on Mount Hermon and made a pact to take human wives
  • They taught forbidden knowledge: weapons of war, cosmetics, sorcery, astrology, enchantments
  • Their offspring (Nephilim) were giants who consumed all resources, then began consuming humans
  • The Watchers were bound until the day of judgment in chains of darkness
  • The spirits of dead Nephilim became demons — disembodied spirits seeking habitation
  • The earth cried out against the abominations, prompting the flood judgment

⚡ Why This Matters

If the disembodied spirits of Nephilim became demons, it explains why demons seek to inhabit bodies (Mark 5:12) — they remember having physical form. It also explains their hatred of humanity — we are the creation they corrupted and the reason for their judgment.

⛧ The True Purpose of the Flood

The flood wasn't just punishment for sin — it was genetic preservation.

God promises the Messiah will come through the "seed of the woman" — human lineage

  • mRNA technology — Ability to alter genetic expression

  • "Non-human intelligence" — Officials now using this term
  • Preparing public for "contact" — Gradual normalization
  • If fallen angels appeared today, how would they present?

If Satan's pre-flood strategy was to corrupt humanity genetically to prevent the Messiah's birth, what's the post-resurrection strategy?

THE MARK OF THE BEAST CONNECTION

The Mark of the Beast (Revelation 13:16-17) may involve genetic modification:

• Those who take it are irredeemable (Revelation 14:9-11) — why? What makes repentance impossible?

• They develop grievous sores (Revelation 16:2) — biological side effects?

• They can no longer repent — their humanity fundamentally altered?

If the Mark changes human DNA — transforming the image of God into the image of the Beast — would recipients still be the humans Christ died to save?

THE WARNING

Jesus didn't reference Noah randomly. He was telling us that the specific conditions — not just general wickedness, but the corruption of human genetics through supernatural interference — would return before His coming.

The technology now exists. The entities may be returning (or never left). The public is being prepared to accept "non-human intelligence." The push to modify the human genome accelerates.

Every element of the Days of Noah is present or emerging in our generation.
